I recognize the test symptoms from my previous pregnancies, but I tested earlier last time.

    7 days is quite early, but it was worth trying.

    7 days is really still too early. Try again in 2 or 3 days with an early test.

    That is indeed quite early; usually, implantation hasn't even occurred by then. I'd suggest trying again around 12 dpo. Are you sure about your ovulation?
