Positive, help?

Hi,

Hope you guys can help me.
I don't know when my period is due. I thought I'd get it today, but no sign of menstruation yet.

Just did a kv 2voor5 test and it was very faint positive within 1 min. After 10 min I did the same test again with the same urine from the same cup and this one stayed negative. Does anyone have an idea if the first test might not be accurate? Or did I have too little hormone so the second test happened to be negative by chance?

The Kruidvat tests are, as far as I know, not as good as they used to be in previous years. It’s possible you just got a faulty test or didn’t follow the instructions exactly. I’ve had false positives before, even with clear pink lines. So it’s really possible. I’d go with the negative test for now since you’re testing with the same urine. If you were pregnant, the second test should also be (light) positive. Maybe do another test on Wednesday or Thursday? The Predictor Early gives quick, clear lines! Good luck!

    Thanks for the tip, Orchidea!
I got my period on Jan 2nd, so indeed a false positive.
I’ve always used these tests for my other 3 kids and never had a false positive. But last month, with this test, I got a bright pink line, and the next day nothing more. I thought it was a miscarriage, but maybe it was also a false positive test?

I indeed suspect a false test, sorry. If you had been pregnant, even if it was very early, that should definitely have been noticed with the same urine. Fortunately, you now have clarity, which is a pity. Good luck next round!

It's a pity, but unfortunately, we're just going to keep going. New year, new opportunities.

That was the test from last month, and the next day it was completely negative.
