Getting pregnant after Implanon

Hi! I had my Implanon removed on November 25th because we're trying to conceive. I already had some symptoms 4 weeks before the removal, but now, 4 weeks later, I really feel like I'm pregnant. I have all the symptoms. The tests are negative though... I haven't had a period for 8 weeks and I'm wondering if you need to have a period first before you can get pregnant? I did have some very light spotting for half a day, about 2 weeks after removal. So my question is, who has experience with getting pregnant after having the Implanon removed? And do you need to have a period first before you can get pregnant? The tests are negative. But with my daughter, I had the same thing and it turned out I was 13 weeks pregnant.
