Good day baby babblers,
I actually don't know what to do, which is why I'm starting a topic
I'm Cheyenne and I'm currently heavily pregnant with my second child. I have my two children with my ex.
To cut a long story short, the bond between me and my ex is very bad. After I found out I was pregnant again, he gave me the choice: either I keep the baby and he will be there for our child, or he wants absolutely nothing to do with us if a second one comes.
(we no longer had a relationship after one time of unsafe sex, and I got pregnant again)
I couldn't bring myself to have an abortion, because being pregnant isn't always a given.
With my first child, he was there occasionally; he acknowledged her and gave her his last name.
I had decided to keep the little one, and he made it clear to me that he didn't want any more contact with me (I later heard that he is in a relationship and living together)
Fine, I had let it be, apparently I wasn't allowed to have contact with his family either, because suddenly they also distanced themselves from me.
Now the problem is, a few months have passed,
The last time I spoke to him was before the summer (he started emailing me saying I'm a bad mother and humiliating me completely in the emails) he also stated that he doesn't see our first child as his own and he's fine with her taking distance from his last name. My mother's heart is crying out enormously because she doesn't deserve this; she stands apart from all this..
It had been quiet for a few months, I could give birth any day now.
But since last week, he suddenly showed up at my mother's door, talking terribly about me and mentioning that I'm pregnant.
(I've had poor contact with my mother for two years, hence)
I was terrified because suddenly I got a call from family who informed me.
Eventually, I found out that he is doing all this because he received a letter from the municipality that he has to pay child support (they call it "verhaaldabijdrage"
because for two months I've been on benefits due to Corona and pregnancy.
I've received messages that he is telling people he isn't going to pay, that he's going to stop working and apply for benefits because, according to him, you can't pluck feathers from a bald chicken, and he'll do everything in his power to make sure I get the minimum. (he thinks I applied for the child support, apparently)
But I knew nothing about this; I called the municipality on Friday and they said it's just the rules because he acknowledged the child.
Now I don't know what to do because I understood that he is going to keep bothering my mother while he knows my bond with her isn't strong at the moment. I don't know what he's trying to do.
I tried to contact him myself
He ignored it but claims I'm bothering him even though I haven't spoken to him in months; he said he's going to ruin my life and do everything he can to make me fall behind, and according to him, he's going to file a report with child protection
I'm completely in shock because I take good care of my child; he was hardly ever there..
Does anyone know what I can do in such a situation? I'm fine with no contact anymore because everyone made their own choice, but he's going too far with all sorts of things..
I don't understand how you can hate the mother of your children so much that you do all sorts of things.
The worst of all is that the kids are the ones suffering; they didn't ask for any of this. I really wished them a father, but unfortunately..
I'll have to stay on benefits for the coming months because after my pregnancy, I want to start applying for jobs and working again, because this is the first time I've been on benefits..
Everything is new to me at the moment..
Does anyone have advice for me or experiences to share?
Love, Chey
