Unisex name: annoying?

We're considering giving our daughter a unisex name. One of our dads has a unisex name and has always found it quite annoying. For example, being addressed as 'Dear Madam' in emails. We're curious to hear more experiences. So the question to all fellow forum members who themselves have a unisex name: how have you experienced this in your life? Annoying and bothersome or not? And why yes or no?
