How many names/initials does your child have?

How many names (and thus initials) does your child have? I'm expecting our first baby. Actually, we want to give her (a girl) 4 names, but we're wondering if that's too many. 4 names, because we have 1 nickname and 3 namesakes for a total of 4 people.
It would then be:
Suze Coco Dirkje Jolijn, nickname Suze
Coco after my father Cornelis (Corné)
Dirkje after my husband's grandfather, Dirk
Jolijn after our mothers, Jolanda and Marjolijn

I do think 4 names is indeed a lot.. Maybe do the naming after someone else in a different way?
Maris (Marjolijn and Cornelis) Dilana (Dirk and Jolanda) ?

If you really can't come up with anything else, I'd just leave it like that.. Or only name a girl after your mothers and save any other naming after someone for a possible next child?

We're giving ours 3 names, so nickname - second name - third name - surname. So Aatje Beetje Ceetje Surname That way we have plenty of room for naming (we use contractions of grandpa's and grandma's names) but it doesn't get too long (a friend of mine has 4 names, which are pretty long too, so her full name ended up on an extra page in her passport because otherwise it wouldn't fit ).

That's so nice, just like Gita!

Our daughters have 3 names, 1 nickname, and 2 middle names. I think it's a lot now, haha. If I had known beforehand that I'd have so many girls, I would have given them 2 middle names each. But you never know in advance, haha! But I did want to give them all the same number of names. Although that's not really necessary, of course...

We gave our kids three names, just a nickname and 2 middle names, I'd do whatever you want. In practice, you don't really use those extra names. Middle names are nice though

We have 2 names for both girls. Nickname and naming after grandma.

I think 4 is also a lot, honestly.

Is there a reason you want to name after all the grandparents?
I would personally make combinations of the names, like Jolijn indeed.

I named my first after my grandfather and great-grandfather.
And my second after another great-grandfather and a good friend.
    Both have 3 names.
It's a shame that I haven't been able to name after my mother and grandma yet.

Dorieke/Dorine maybe as a combo of the guys. Cornelis/Dirk. Doesn't Dirk come from Hendrikus or something like that?
