11 days late, test negative?

Hi,

I'm now 11 days overdue. I thought I'd test this morning. I've tested too early in the past and it only brought me disappointment. But this morning the test was negative! I tested with a Clearblue test strip that I still had from last time...

Does anyone have any idea why I'm 11 days overdue now? I woke up quite dizzy recently, and I've also been feeling a bit nauseous at times. Given those symptoms combined, I was pretty convinced I was pregnant.

    I didn't have an ovulation once in March this year, but I'll get in touch with my GP

    Still nothing... But mood swings from here to Tokyo + nausea and dizziness

    Same story here as with Suzanna.
    When we were trying to get pregnant, I suddenly missed a period.
    I think your body reacts to the 'stress' of trying to get pregnant.
    I tried to let go of it, and then I was pregnant.

    Greetings

    It’s possible that “stress” is delaying your period. Your cycle might just be a bit longer than usual, or your body might skip a cycle this time. I think the chance that you’re actually pregnant right now is small; after 11 days late, you should see a clear line by now. So my only advice is to let it go. 9 out of 10 times, your period will start. Or your body skips a cycle. Without ovulation tests, you can’t be sure. If you’re still unsure, consult your GP for a blood test. A pregnancy shows up earlier in blood. Anyway, good luck—it’s definitely uncertain.

    @an1990 I've been trying since December 2018, and the only month I didn't ovulate was March 2020

    We already have 2 kids who came spontaneously, so we know it can happen

    Ah ok that's quite different then. I hope the third one comes quickly!

    @an1990 that's why I'm not complaining either

    When is the best time to start ovulation tests again if your body skips a cycle? I'm now a week late and don't have any real symptoms. I think I'm probably not pregnant, so maybe I didn't ovulate. I didn't find it with the tests either. I'm just wondering when I should start doing ovulation tests again.

    I'd start 11 days overdue because that's actually cycle day 11, and in a normal cycle they recommend starting then
