Implantation bleeding or period?

Hi everyone, I hear and read that implantation bleeding occurs in only a few women... So I fear it's very likely to be my period already although it's actually a bit too early for that... Has anyone of you had implantation bleeding that was quite heavy and thus looks a lot like your period?

    Hi,
    I think we can shake hands on this... I was expecting my period today but got it on September 26th. That’s 16 days after my last period. I thought yay, implantation bleeding, but after 4 days of bleeding (though much less than my usual period), it seemed unlikely. And I tested today, but the tests were negative too. So probably just a real early period from stopping the pill. I’ve been off it for 2 months now and had a regular cycle, but unfortunately not anymore.

    Implantation bleeding is usually just a few drops of blood, up to the size of a panty liner. A really heavy bleed is indeed often just your period.
