pregnant or not?

Hi everyone!!
Could someone help me?? I'll briefly explain what's going on...
I stopped the pill about 3 months ago. My boyfriend and I aren't actively trying for a baby, but if it happens, it's welcome We have unprotected sex. I got my period on October 29th and my last cycle was 35 days long; that was the first time I tracked it closely. We had sex last weekend, and on Tuesday at 4 AM I woke up to go to the toilet (I never usually need to pee at night . I went back to bed, but got up again at 5:30 AM to pee, and some blood came out—not enough for a pad. At 9 AM I peed again and saw some blood/darker old blood. Then I went back to bed until 11 AM. When I woke up, I felt nauseous, dizzy, and had the urge to vomit when I stood up... Fortunately, I didn't vomit. I'm wondering if I miscalculated my cycle and if these could be pregnancy symptoms... My expected period date is around December 3rd according to my calculation, but I've had a strange feeling on the left side of my lower abdomen all the time, and I've been a bit nauseous all day—not really throwing up, just feeling weird and having a lot of saliva in my mouth....
Is anyone who can help me? I don't think it makes sense to take a test yet, I guess, because my expected period isn't until next weekend, and I don't want to disappoint myself...

    Hi, a test actually gives you the only certainty. It could be that you're already 6 weeks pregnant, but still had bleeding (was this a heavy period?).

    Because pregnancy symptoms usually don't start until around 4-5 weeks, when the hCG hormone starts rising significantly. Before that, it's usually not high enough to cause noticeable symptoms.

    I'd suggest taking a test. If you're experiencing symptoms due to hCG, it will show up in the test, since it measures hCG levels.

    Thanks for your reply. I can't really remember whether my last period was intense... According to my calculation, I should get my period next weekend. Should I wait until then before taking the test? I'm so afraid of disappointing myself... What would you do??

    Hi,

    Yeah, I’d also get a test—that’s the only certainty you have at that moment.
    Well, certainty isn’t totally there either, since every body reacts differently.
    You could also just wait and see, and if it still doesn’t show up, you can always take a test later. I think you should do what your heart tells you to do.
    It’s tough, of course, because you don’t want to disappoint yourself either.

    Hi there,
    I’d also do a test, just to be sure. Like Nienke says, it’s possible you’re further along than you’d expect and that you’ve just been getting your period...
    That’s what happened to me too, except I didn’t stop taking the pill and kept taking it regularly on time. So for the first two months I still got my period on the usual days, and then in the third month it suddenly stopped. I immediately stopped the pill when I took the test, which was positive. I turned out to be 10 weeks and 4 days pregnant!

    Now, you’ll have to decide what to do, girl... If you take a test now and it’s negative but your period still doesn’t come after next week, just test again. Like Renate74 said, every woman’s body reacts differently to pregnancy!

    My friend and I have decided to do a test tomorrow morning, so as soon as I know something, I'll let you know. Your responses have been very reassuring!

    Well, here I am... 3:15 AM, I couldn't sleep anymore and according to me, I didn't sleep at all... We went to bed at 1 AM, so I only lay in bed for 2 hours and then had the urge to pee again.... :S I don't understand anything, so I grabbed the test right away and... it said not pregnant Maja, did I do it too soon again? Should I have really used morning urine?? I'm now waiting for my PERIOD to avoid further disappointment... I made myself some nice warm anise milk, it's almost gone, and then I'll go back to bed to sneakily cuddle up with my sweetie

    To be honest, I don't think you're pregnant. If your last bleeding wasn't a real period, you'd test positive now, even without first-morning urine.

    And since your period is due next week, you'd only be able to test for a possible pregnancy from this month then...
