Rees? Pronunciation in Dutch or English?

    Hi Debbie, sorry Dutch!

I'm leaning towards Rees... no, I really don't think that's a good first name. I think it could encourage bullying.

I like Ross better, even though it's not quite my style either.

    Ross

I didn't know the name Rees, so I googled it... And I end up at Rees Camp, a concentration camp from WWII in Nazi Germany. So I definitely wouldn't go for that name. I'm not a big fan of English names, but in this case, I'd definitely go for Ross. Is Ries not an option?

Don't know if you're from the Netherlands or Belgium, but here in the area, "rees" means diarrhea.

Thanks for your quick and thoughtful replies.
It should indeed be pronounced in Dutch.

    Then go for Ross.

    I'd go for Ross.

At Rees, I thought of race. And indeed the association that is given above. Rees is an English name, so it is pronounced as Ries. Ross is also an English name. Is Richard nice, nickname Ries?
And otherwise I'll go for Ross. (Others will have the association horse there, but there's always something)
