When do you know if you're ready for it?

Hi everyone,
I'm really torn right now. On one hand, I'd love nothing more than to get pregnant and have a baby, but on the other hand, I feel like I'm not ready yet. None of my friends have kids, we all live far apart, and we regularly plan fun things together. I'm scared of losing all that when I get pregnant. My husband wants it more than anything, he was even more eager yesterday than today, and he's going crazy with my doubts.
But how do you know if you're ready? Some days I feel those little twinges and think yes, I really want it, other days I'm scared that I'm not ready yet.
I'm 29 and my husband is 36, so we definitely have the age on our side.

Just like Olivia Anna, you never know for sure! But at some point, you have to say, let's go for it and see how the rest unfolds. Often, things sort themselves out or you can only judge them once it happens. It's not really about getting a baby, but unfortunately, you don't have much say in whether or when it happens. If the circumstances are generally positive, you have a good relationship, and the desire is strong, then I'd say; go for it!

indeed, the right moment doesn't exist. you don't lose real friends, believe me. maybe your lifestyles don't quite match right now, but that always changes again. if there are friends you don't see for a while, they'll come back when they have a little one of their own, and often the bond becomes even closer. I'd say go for it, it's sooooooooo incredibly beautiful to be a mother. I enjoy it every day and I have no regrets. I was 23 years old when we had our oldest son.

lots of luck and success with your decision

    love Nynke
