Oh my goodness! Amélie, does this mean I'm pregnant, or could this be a false positive?
  2. Elena #3

I don't see a line on the photo. Maybe try again in a few days?
  3. Kimberley #4

Elena: Okay! Yeah, it's also pretty tricky to get a good photo haha..
I see it much better in real life than on the photo, and I've already done my best.

Yeah, exactly! I'm definitely going to test with morning urine tomorrow morning and also use a sensitivity test to see what shows up..
    It's quite exciting!
  4. Orchidea #5

Yes, a faint line without having to squint... congratulations!

Was Kimberly within the read time? Otherwise, test again tomorrow morning, but for me, it looks good.
  6. Kimberley #7

Orchidea: Oh really? Thank goodness I'm not completely crazy; it would be so special, but I wasn't sure if it meant anything or if I was just imagining it... But thanks anyway, taking it cautiously!

Amélie: Yeah, it was within the reading time. I did the test, went to brush my teeth and stuff, and then the line was already there. The Kruidvat 2v5 was also within the reading time, but it was a bit less clear. Maybe that brand is less sensitive... I definitely want to test again tomorrow; I've ordered sensitive tests to see if the line becomes clearer. It feels so special, and even though it might be true, I can hardly believe it.

Are there any other people here who have experienced this and barely saw a line at first?

I'd say it's a clear early positive. Congratulations! How long have you been trying?
  8. Kimberley #9

Pineapple: Uhm, to be completely honest, not really haha, not trying etc.
It would probably be more unplanned. We’ve talked about it but not yet for now, but of course it could happen despite the pill, and I’ve had some diarrhea which can reduce its effectiveness, and my boyfriend has quit smoking, which can also have an effect on things.
But anyway, if it turns out that way, it’s definitely welcome with open arms!
  9. Susanna #10

So you're still taking the pill? I'd stop right away. I also got pregnant in 2012 while on the pill... do you have a photo of the Kruidvat 2v5?
  10. Most15 #11

He's really light. You've had symptoms for a week already, so I would've expected the test to be darker. When are you due for your period?
  11. Kimberley #12

Pineapple: Yeah, that's right, I'm still taking it, mostly out of the idea that if it's not like that, then I'm still protected for now, but I was indeed wondering if I should stop.. I'll take a picture of it in a bit, but the line didn't come out very clear on the photo because it's a bit lighter than the one from the test...

Sis: Yeah, that's true, about a week now that when I wake up I don't feel completely great, I'm nauseous, urinating a lot, and also a bit more tired, I have no idea, it could be of course because you hear the strangest stories in some cases, so it's definitely a case of doubt, hence my question for advice..
Uhm, I'm still on the pill, but officially it's 2 weeks until my break week (I always take 2 strips instead of 1)
  12. Most15 #13

So you're actually testing two weeks before your period?
  13. Susanna #14

I would stop taking the pill right away because it doesn't seem right for the pregnancy if it's not. If it's not, you can always start again from your period?
  14. Kimberley #15

Sis: Yes, that's right, because I've read that due to the pill, your period is artificially triggered, and in some cases it doesn't affect the test or ovulation, so I thought I'd just try it with these symptoms.

Pineapple: Yes exactly, I'll stop from tomorrow, also to see how it goes etc. It's still a huge question mark with these tests..
  15. Most15 #16

Thanks, I think you're not pregnant
But it could be wrong, of course!
  16. Susanna #17

Or you wait until the line is darker and test every day
  17. Kimberley #18

Sis: Can I ask where this assumption comes from? I just checked Google again and since it's tricky with the pill to figure out when your ovulation was etc., can you test then because officially your period should have started already, but it's artificially extended. It says there that if it says not pregnant, it could be too early or incorrect, but whenever a line appears etc. it does mean that it really is so, but I don't know anymore haha, it's a big question mark....

Pineapple: Yes indeed, my tests are coming tomorrow so I think from Thursday morning then test with first morning urine and see what the result is and if it gets darker or disappears, but I hear very often that a line is a line, it remains difficult...
  18. Most15 #19

It's not just an assumption, I think it because with the pill you simulate a 28-day cycle, in the middle of which ovulation occurs. If you have a break week in two weeks, you'll probably ovulate around now. So you can't test positive right now.

    But as I already said;
    It can be off.
  19. Kimberley #20

Sis: Yes, in that way. My post wasn't meant to be attacking or bad, okay? It's just that everything feels so uncertain.
It's obviously related to my cycle since I stopped the pill, so I'm about 4 weeks further now, so my ovulation should have already happened, I think?
