Utrogestan questions

Hi ladies!

After a few early miscarriages, it was determined that my uterine lining is a bit too thin, so the fertilized egg probably didn't stick. The OB-GYN wanted to wait a bit before starting progesterone to see if it would work naturally. Obviously, it didn't work, and we're a few months further along. I have an appointment with her next month to start the progesterone. However, my GP suggested starting now! Her reasoning was: "If it doesn't hurt, it can't hurt."

The only problem is that my GP isn't a gynecologist and wasn't sure what dosage I should take, etc. After doing some research, she prescribed me the lowest dose (100mg) which I should take orally (not vaginally) twice a day.

She advised me to start now (I'm currently 11 dpo) and just keep taking it every day until my OB-GYN appointment next month.

But online I read everywhere that this should only be taken after ovulation? And would it even help this cycle? At 11 dpo, implantation should have already occurred, I think?

In short, lots of questions haha. Help!

Has anyone here experienced this?

I had to take Utrogestran throughout my pregnancy, 1 pill per day, because I was at risk of going into early labor.

I used Utro when I was just pregnant, after a previous miscarriage. I started after a positive pregnancy test until I was 3 months pregnant, then stopped. My daughter is now 10 months old.
If it hadn't worked out back then, I was supposed to start from the gynecologist after ovulation until the missed period.

So if you can, you can still start now if you'd like.
    Good luck in advance!

Strange that the doctor does this. I have to take them from the gynecologist starting from ovulation until the rest. If I'm pregnant, I keep taking them longer, otherwise I stop until the next cycle. By the way, I insert them vaginally, and it's not really pleasant stuff!
