    How do you pronounce it?
    Ellis, Alies or Alise?

    If you pronounce it as Ellis, you'll often get the remark/association with:
    Ellis (Alice) well the f*ck is Alice (from that song)

    I think Alies sounds the most beautiful. It sounds a bit more chic, while Ellis sounds a bit more plain.

    When I think of Alice, I picture women around my mom's age. I think Ellis is a bit nicer in terms of spelling. I did have a colleague named Alice, though, but she pronounced it as "Alies."
