Boy or girl?

Yesterday we had the big ultrasound and they told us whether we're having a boy or a girl. But now I'm wondering if she saw it correctly...
What do you think we'll see on the ultrasound: boy or girl?

This is a tricky question, it's still so early and uncertain because the gender can still change; what looks like a girl at 14 weeks can grow into a nub (penis) a few weeks later. At this stage, it's only 97% reliable. It's also difficult because we're not experienced sonographers, so it's hard to give a definite answer. I think I see a girl through the dashes here, is that right? The nub for my son was clearer to see on both the early scan and the 20-week scan. I'm curious what they said at the early scan.

    I think it's a girl.

    I think I see a girl too

I’d say it’s a girl too, because it looks like a little hamburger, like my midwife so beautifully put it. Although I’m not entirely sure what that looks like, since we ended up having a boy, and we could clearly see the balls and the little penis back then.

At the prenatal scan they also said it was a girl, so I'll just have to trust that it is. It's sweet that you all replied!
I saw a YouTube video by Marlieke Koks where it turned out to be a boy after all... hahahaha that doesn't sound like something I'd want to go through!!

I saw that too, Lisa, and that can happen with an early gender determination. So you're one of the 3% in a gender scan at 14 weeks (with 97% accuracy) where it turns out to be a boy after all. That doesn't happen very often, but well. Enjoy your little girl!
