3 positive urine tests, negative blood test

Dear (expectant) moms,
I'd like to ask for your experience.
I haven't had my period for over 2 months. I'm afraid I had a miscarriage during my last period because I had very intense 'contractions' in bed and started bleeding heavily. Since I have 2 kids, I'm sure they were contractions.
I took 2 tests from Action, the regular ones, and got faint but clearly visible lines.
That evening I had my blood tested and got the results the next day.
The next day I took another Predictor test and it was bright positive within a minute.
However, that evening I got a call saying the blood test was negative.
I am very nauseous, exhausted, and have a lot of pain in my stomach. And I cry at the slightest thing.
Does anyone have experience with this? Or an explanation why I had 3 positive tests but a negative blood test?

The test in the photo is indeed faint but clearly positive. It's very strange because the blood test also shows lower hCG levels. I'd suggest repeating the urine test every two days until you get a strong positive, and then have another blood test done.

Buy the Kruitvat 2 for €5. I think you're still making too little hcg for a blood test.

Blood tests actually measure lower levels than urine tests, so if a urine test is positive, a blood test should definitely be positive too.

Do you know how much hCG you had then?
  5. Susanna #6

And do you know more yet?

    Hi ladies,

I don't know how much hCG I had.
No news yet. I am tired, in pain and nauseous though.
On Thursday at 6pm I have to get my blood drawn again

The blood test showed lower values than the urine test, so it remains a mystery.

    Hi ladies,

Feeling sicker and sicker every day.
Just got back from the doctor.
My hCG was 17 last time apparently.
    I'll know more tomorrow morning....
    Greetings

That should be enough for an early scan. How long do you think you are pregnant?

I'd guess conception would have happened around August 19th...
But it's also possible that I'm not pregnant...
    Can't wait to find out!

I’d take a test every other day until you’re really sure

Oh, that's so frustrating that you still don't have any clarity.

    Strength and get well soon!

    Hello mamas

    Still 4 to 5 weeks pregnant ;-)
    Greetings!!!
  14. Susanna #15

Congratulations So you didn't have enough hcg produced yet. How did you find out now?

I ended up going back to get my blood drawn again because I was feeling so bad.
My thought was: if it really isn't a pregnancy, then something must be wrong underneath.

But yes indeed... I am definitely pregnant :-)
So here's the unbelievable story: positive urine test, negative blood test, and then finally a positive blood test ;-)

Blood test at 17 weeks is just positive. Weird that they said it was negative.

    Congratulations?!!!
  17. Susanna #18

It's still weird because they can also see lower values in blood tests, but congratulations again!

I'm in exactly the same boat.
Since yesterday, positive tests even a Clearblue 1-2 weeks.
Today had blood drawn and negative. Immediately after the news at home did a test and again a faint line.
I'm going crazy!! But if I read this I hope a little bit

Hey everyone, I did some pregnancy tests 6 days ago and there were 2 faint lines. Yesterday I went to the ER because of problems with my uterus, and they took my blood and it was negative for pregnancy. Could it be that it was too early? I also feel a bit of breast pain on the sides when I touch them.
