fluctuating temperature

Hi everyone,
I have a question about my temperature. My withdrawal bleed after the pill stopped on Friday, and I've been tracking my temperature for a few days now. But it keeps varying (35.6, 35, 35.8, 36.1). Could it be that my thermometer isn't working properly, or is this completely normal?
How can you tell if it's actually rising this way? It would seem strange to me if I were ovulating this early...
Cheers

That's totally normal... Are you measuring your temperature accurately? Every morning at the same time, vaginally or rectally, before getting out of bed, and preferably after the same number of sleep hours
You'll naturally see that after ovulation your temperature will stay nicely high. How are you tracking it in an app? Then you can see the evolution nicely

Vaginal temperatures? That doesn't seem right.

You can only start to make sense of your temperatures after about half a year to a year. You've only just stopped the pill. Your body will be all over the place in the coming months. Give yourself half a year to a year, and then see how things are going if you're still not pregnant.

Oh, I didn’t know it took so long for the temperature to catch up. I’ll wait a bit more then
I’ll keep track of it in an app and do it at the same time every day.

Vaginal is definitely the way to go! It's just as reliable as rectal, as confirmed by my GP and two gynecologists. I've been doing it this way for 3 years. It's true that it takes a few months to get a feel for it. Good luck!
