Dana or Deena

ZoeyGuest ·
Hi! We (Zoey and Naud) are thinking of naming our upcoming daughter Dana or Deena. We'd like the English pronunciation (so Dee-naa/Day-naa), but we're not sure how to spell the name. Normally as Dana? Or Deena to make the pronunciation clear? Dena could work too, but we don't think it looks as nice. Thanks for the help! Best, Zoey!

    Deana?

I would indeed pronounce Dana as Daana, but if you correct people once and say that you pronounce it the English way, they'll get used to it quickly, I think. It's just a matter of whether you want that; otherwise, I'd go with Deena.

Super cute name! I'd go with Deena, so you can't get any complaints about the pronunciation.

I'd pronounce Dana as Daa-na, and for that reason, I'd go with Deena.
    Nice name, by the way!

Thank you all! We're going with Deena! I secretly think 5 letters is quite nice, and no fuss about pronunciation either.
It'll be Deena Betty Josefina Hernandez in total (an English/Dutch and Antillean/Dutch mix).

    Deena

I would pronounce Dana as Dana, but Deena as Diena (English pronunciation)
