A beautiful name for...

With our daughters, we already had a name in mind before I was pregnant. But this baby was an "oopsie" baby, and we don't have a single clue about a name yet... Do you know a nice name that goes with J.olie and L.ilou? (dot in between to bypass Google )

I'm immediately looking for names with 5 letters, 2 syllables, and an l and i:

Then I come up with this list:
    Alice, Bodil, Malin, Pilar

    Without l or i:
Aster, Aylin, Chloë, Clara, Estée, Indra, Kenzi, Minte, Ninte, Pippa, Silke, Tirze, Vieve

I think J.olie, L.ilou, and Bodil are the prettiest.

    J.olie - L.ilou - L.oua / L.ouis / L.ouise
Then the names fit together perfectly and indeed, maybe another name with the letters l and i.
Lise, Alies Eehm I don't have much more inspiration right now ;-)
When do you find out the gender?

Nice, I see the 2nd and 3rd names of my daughter also in the list! Gender is still about 8 weeks away I think, so we have some time!
We haven't decided yet, so more ideas are welcome!

Are you also still looking for a boy's name? Or have you already found one?
  7. L. started this #8

No, it's also a boy's name! Preferably! We don't have anything for that at all yet!

Alec, Arvid, Boris, Collin, David, Elias, Fedde, Hidde, Idris, Milan, Morris, Nathan, Nolan, Oscar, Pepijn, Quint, Sebas, Stian, Thian

I think I like Elias or Idris the most.
    J.olie, L.ilou & Elias
    J.olie, L.ilou & Idris

Nolan and Silas are also nice, with the l as the 3rd letter just like with the sisters.
    J.olie, L.ilou & Nolan
    J.olie, L.ilou & Silas

Have you seen any names that you like already?

Yeah, my husband thinks Emilia is a really pretty name. I think it's pretty too, but it feels a bit too much with 4 syllables combined with the other girls having 2 syllables.
Right now I like Zélie, Belle, and Estée, but my husband isn't really into them.
For a boy, I have Noël at the top of my list and my husband suggested Jules. With our youngest, we had Philip as the boy's name. But with all those names, I still don't really get that 'wow' feeling.

Zélie, I've never heard of that name before. But I think it looks really nice with J.olie and L.ilou!
    I also like Belle!

    Other ideas:
Elise, Leila, Eline, Luna, Mila, Evie

I don't know if it's your taste, but for a boy, I immediately think of Milan. (Also 5 letters, with an i and l).

    Here are some other ideas:
    Kian, Luca, Vigo, Julian,

By the way, I think Noël is a really nice name!

    Good luck with your choice!
  12. Anouk Guest #13

Oh, tricky. I think Belle looks really nice with it.
Maybe Emile for a boy or Emilie for a girl? Instead of Emilia.

My husband happened to bring it up today, with Emilie. I'll think about it!

We're thinking of E.loï for a girl (Eloowie). We still haven't decided on a boy's name. Luckily, we have some time left!
  15. madelene #16

    Eloise
  16. Anonymous Guest #17

    Super fun! E.loï
  17. Lou Guest #18

    Nice!
Here are some more ideas (not sure if there are duplicates, I don't look back all the time):
    J.olie, L.ilou and:

M: Amée Rhodé Alix Éléa Noé Loïse Cecile Valerie Ines Maëlis Elive Milia Moïse Celoë Isaï Margot Julot Nena Nola Noë Fië Danaé Madée Edmée Dahné Amelie Jinthe Salomé
J: Maël Yaël Eliah Elias Tobias Thias Jari Revi Moos Mozes Julan Yuren Remi Ravi Gilles Naël Yannick Emile Felix Jules Cesar Roman Alec Luc Beau Guy Guido Juliën Mathis Yves

    My favorite combinations are:
    J.olie, L.ilou and Alix
    J.olie, L.ilou and Noé
    J.olie, L.ilou and Isaï
    J.olie, L.ilou and Amée

    J.olie, L.ilou and Maël
    J.olie, L.ilou and Mathis
    J.olie, L.ilou and Emile
    J.olie, L.ilou and Felix

By the way, I just noticed that Isaï (iesaa-ie) is actually a boy's name. Maybe it's an idea if it turns out to be a boy? Same style as Eloï.
  19. L. started this #20

Oh yes, wow! I think Isaï is indeed a beautiful name! At first I also thought it was a girl's name, but if it's also a boy's name, I find that pretty cool too! I saw Noé listed somewhere among French boys' names, I think that's really nice too!

I'll keep Alix in mind too! The middle names of our girls are A.mélie and A.naï (named after grandma Amélie - how hip is that name for a grandma! - and grandma Annie). So another middle name starting with A is nice, and my brother is named Alexander!

    Thank you!
