Hi everyone,
My partner and I are expecting our first baby in January. We've found two really nice names, both starting with Z, and we're curious about your opinions on whether you think these are good names Feel free to share why you like or dislike them.

1. Zelda
2. Zoëy

Her second and third names will be Ruby (Roe-bie) and Thamar.

I personally like the second name better, but not with a y at the end.
So I’d go for Zoë Ruby Thamar.
If you really wanted to write it as Zoëy, I’d still go for Zelda.
  2. Jo Guest #3

Yeah, I think Zoë is prettier and more practical.
  3. Lou Guest #4

I don't think Zelda is beautiful. Selma is. I also think Zoey is beautiful, but I'd definitely write it as Zoë!
  4. Sofie #5

I’d also lean more towards Zoë. I don’t really like Zelda.

    I like Ruby the best
  6. Anonymous Guest #7

I don't think much of it all.
  7. MamaAsh #8

When I think of Zelda, I think of a computer game or Sabrina the Little Witch (her aunt was named Zelda). I really don't like the name at all.
Zoëy seems weirdly spelled to me. I'd go with Zoë instead.
  8. MamaAsh #9

But secretly, I think Thamar is the prettiest first name!
  9. Susanna #10

Zoey! But then without the y
  10. Debbie Guest #11

I’d also go with Ruby Thamar.
Would you still want a name with a Z in front? Then I’d choose Zina.
  11. Anonymous Guest #12

Personally, I'd also go for Zoë. I think it looks nicer than Zoëy.
The y feels a bit unnecessary, you know.
But otherwise, it's a great name. I don't think Zelda is pretty. Then I also think Selma is nicer.

Maybe Ziva is another idea? Anyway, also with a Z haha.
    I think that's a lovely name!

    Good luck with your choice!

Hi Mae, I think both are beautiful names! As I said before, I'd drop the y from Zoë. I'd go for Zelda, I think. It's more unique and sounds really nice with your other names. And yes, the name is known from a video game, so what, it's a great game and a really lovely name...

Nice name, Zelda. Soft and feminine. I hadn't heard of it before.

Vote for Zelda! Fun, fresh, and quite different!!
