Is an ultrasound at 7 DPO reliable?

Hi ladies!
Had to go to the gynecologist today because of my miscarriage last month, to check if everything is clear inside.
I already had an ovulation 7 days ago, which the gynecologist also confirmed based on the ultrasound images.
Everything looks clean again She suddenly added that I definitely can't be pregnant this cycle because my uterine lining was still thin (6mm). If I had been pregnant, she should have already seen a thicker lining.
But is it really true that you can be 100% sure from an ultrasound at 7 DPO that I'm not pregnant? I'm secretly holding onto some hope, or should I really pack away all my hopes?

I also had a check-up after a miscarriage. That day, I felt an implantation or at least suspected it, so it was about a week after ovulation, and the gynecologist could confirm that. Not with certainty, but she did say the chances were high that this was an early pregnancy. Thick lining with something like a ring visible. It was indeed a pregnancy, and my daughter is now 15 months old.

Ah, then she probably was right. I'll start preparing for next month
    Thanks for responding
