Medication to induce labor?

Hi everyone, does anyone here have experience with medication to induce your period? I stopped the pill in early June, but haven't had a period since... My GP told me there's medication that can bring on your period, but it doesn't guarantee that I'll have a normal cycle afterward. Has anyone here tried this?

This can be part of coming off the pill. I wouldn't immediately start medication.
Your body needs time to pick things up on its own again after using the pill.
This can definitely take up to a year... -
