What do you think of the name Javy for a boy? We'd just pronounce it the Dutch way: j aa v ie

    I'd prefer to hear it in English a bit more (but that's how it is with all names, you know..)

    It does have a nice ring to it!! I don't know the name at all.
    My nephew's name is Jari, by the way.

    Well Iza and Stampie, thank you both. You're really the first two to respond positively We've decided that the spelling would be Javi because the other one is quickly pronounced in English. I'm really doubting because we only get negative reactions. So it's either Javi or Jesse. Would love to hear more reactions!

    Ooh, it's really nice to get those positive reactions. I was starting to think it was just my hormones making me suddenly find all sorts of unusual names beautiful. Now I'm just driving myself crazy with my own indecision. I was so curious what people around me would think, so I made up that a colleague of mine who just gave birth named her son Javi (his name is Noah, but no one else knows the colleague anyway). So far, no one has thought the name was beautiful, haha. Tough, tough.
