Birth Card

Hi everyone,
Do you also bring a birth card to your neighbors or people in the street?
We've been living here for about a year and a half now, but we don't talk to anyone except "hi," so I'm curious whether you give out cards or not.

Hi hi. We lived here for 5 months when our daughter was born. We did put a card in the mailbox for the neighbors at the time.

Oh yes, everyone in the street knows!!

They do it here too. We live in a neighborhood, and everyone who lives on our street in the neighborhood gets a card.

Here too, both neighbors. Living on a really big street, so not much further than the neighbors again ;-)

Our whole street got a card because we’re on good terms with everyone in the street and we often organize neighborhood days together.

No one gets a card here, the neighbor has moved, and we live in a gallery flat with no one on the other side either, so it's quickly done here.

Here, some neighbors get a card because we have good contact with them, but the rest don’t.

We didn’t do it, we’d only just moved in there for two months. Looking back, I think we should’ve done it after all—it’s quite nice, but my labor and postpartum period were pretty tough, so it just kind of slipped by me. With the next one (if ever), we’ll definitely do it. I find it nice, and it lowers the barrier right away to come over for a chat and catch up. Having good contact with your neighbors is nice, isn’t it!

We're having second thoughts. We live in an apartment building with 6 units. What do you all think? Should we put one card at each apartment or just hang one by the main entrance downstairs? They're all women over 80 in our building, so I'm not sure if they'll be much into the card game

Here on the street, it's really just the people we have contact with... On both sides next to us, one moved away and then another one, no one else... Not the whole street, mind you.
