What do you think of the girl's name 'Sas'? We already have a son named 'Daaf'. I think Juul, Luus, or Suus are nice too, but my husband likes them less.

Back in the day, everyone named Saskia was called Sas. That was totally normal back then. Nothing wrong with it.
But for me, it immediately brings up: "so in my sas with..." But no one my age remembers that ad anymore.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of it. It comes from an abbreviation of a name, and I think people will quickly assume it's not the full name.
In my opinion, there are nicer short (abbreviated) names. And indeed, "I'm losing my mind."

I also know it as an abbreviation for Saskia, but I still think it's quite nice, I guess.

I don't think it's wrong, but I do think it sounds like an abbreviation at first. I also think Juul and Suus fit really well with Daaf!

I think Suus sounds really nice with Daaf. I’d also expect Sas to be a short form.

Personally, I don't really like Sas; it sounds like an abbreviation of Saskia.
I would change Suus to Suzanne if it were on my list—I was considering it for my third daughter but ended up going with Jasmijn
I don't really like the other two last names you mentioned either: Juul and Luus.
Luus could work as a second name though.
Tess might be nice because you seem to like short names, I see

I think he's super cute too! Suus too!

Honestly? I’d just name your kids David and Saskia, so they can shorten them later if they want. I think she’ll always have to explain it if it’s just a short form, but it’s super cute. I’d go with Saskia as the official first name. It’ll feel nicer later on during job interviews and such.

I don't think Sas is beautiful.
Indeed, it's more of an abbreviation.
And although that might also be the case for Suus and Juul, I think those names are really nice!
    Or I like Juun too!
Luus, on the other hand, I don't find so beautiful.
Good luck with the name choice. It's of course very personal for everyone, so just choose what you like yourselves

My grandma calls peeing (especially when it’s about an animal) “sassen.” I always assumed it was old-fashioned or dialect or something, but it could also be a made-up word. Anyway, you’ll definitely understand what my first association with the name Sas is then.

Juul is really nice with Daaf
