Help us choose the right boy's name

Hey,
We're 36 weeks pregnant and can't quite decide. Which name would you choose:
Victor or Achille?
I think Victor is nice but too popular in Belgium. Achille is nice too, but in our area many people find it a 'weird' name...
I'm curious what you think.

    Victor was also on my list, but since it's too popular, he didn't make it. (There were 2 Victors in my daughter's class.. My husband thought it was too much).
    So I'd go for Achille. But I also have a soft spot for names like these. Fons, Julien, Gaspard, Chiel... Yeah, that's my thing my son has a more 'standard' name. I have a man with totally different taste. But well, I'd go for the second name then! (I'm from Belgium)

    As a Dutch person, I'd say Victor. I associate Achille with Achilles' tendon/heel and find Gilles or Jilles more appealing. But I can see how the name might sound better in Belgium. If Victor is very popular with you, Achille (pronounced like Ahzhiel, French style?) could be a good option.

    Funny, I live in the Netherlands and I only know one Victor. I've been working in education for years and have never had a Victor in my class. Achille either, by the way.
    If Victor is so common among you guys, then I wouldn't go with it. Achille isn't really my taste. Sorry.

    Achille is too special, so I'll go with Victor instead.

    I'd go for Victor or Gilles or something like that... Achille is a bit old-fashioned

    I think Victor is the most beautiful. It was also on our list, but we're having a girl. :-) You could maybe make it Vic...

    I'm from Belgium. And indeed, Victor has been in the top 10 here for a few years now. Very popular then.
    Achille isn't so common here and is also quite old-fashioned, but we like that .
    I'll think it over again.
