I think it works, nice name. And if not, she can become Brecht when she's grown up? -

Maybe then for the variant without the t. Brechje. That was also on our list. Tje links more than you.

I don't really like it, but it's not stupid either. But there are as many opinions as there are people; I don't find your husband's reasoning very convincing. The name works fine for an adult too. -
