Pip & Sepp

Hi! We have a 4-year-old daughter named Pip, and now we're expecting a boy. We're thinking of naming him Sepp.

Do you think they go well together, or do they look too similar?

I like it! Nice names, both Pip and Sepp. If you think the spelling is too similar, you could also go with 'Seb'.

I think they look quite similar, and it also seems weird that you write Pip with one p and Sepp with two. So I find it a bit tricky. I'd probably go with Seb for the spelling, I think.

    I'd go for Seb too.

I wouldn't go for it myself...
    Maybe other options:
    Pip & ...
    Sem
    Lex
    Cas
    Raf
    Bas
    Wes
    Puck
    Sten
    Stan
    Juul

It doesn't have to match, does it? That comes naturally. It's called getting used to it.

I wouldn't really go for Seb. Can that kid keep telling you that you spell his name with a b instead of an s?

We only paid attention to the initials so you wouldn't get a weird idea like W.C.

I actually find Seb more 'normal' than Sep. It's just what you're used to. Sepp or Sebb could also work. It's just a name that can be spelled in many different ways.

I only know him as Sepp

    So cute! Pip and Sepp.

No, sorry, this is too much of a "push and pull" for me. I'd rather hear a Sem / Sven / Glenn than both ending in the same sound.
