Going back on the pill doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Sure, you'll get your regular cycle again, but when you decide to stop taking it, your body needs to "detox" from the pill, which can make your cycle very irregular again (even worse than it is now). Or you might have to wait a long time for your first period to return.

It could be that you had an implantation bleed, but it could also be something else. If I were you, I'd definitely take another test, using first morning urine. If it's negative, you could go to the gynecologist just to be sure. They'll know for sure.

    Just wanted to add:
due to a longer cycle or a later ovulation, it's possible that your test on Thursday wasn't positive yet, but now it might be..
A negative test can also be a false result.

To me, going back to the pill doesn't seem like a handy option either, because then you'd just be spending more time preparing your body to get pregnant. I'd give your body some rest by not taking the pill etc., but already start taking folic acid and prenatal vitamins. Extra vitamin B complex is said to have beneficial effects on getting pregnant too.
And about the bleeding, it could indeed be an implantation bleed. I'd say take a test anyway...

Wishing you lots of strength and keep us posted?

    hey girl.
I also think it could be implantation bleeding based on your description.
You might want to take another test, maybe you tested too early.
    Definitely let me know.

    Hi,

I’ve been bleeding a bit more now. It’s still pinkish/brownish, but the cramping in my belly is starting to kick in...
So I think I just had a really long cycle.
Since most people advise against the pill, I’ll follow that advice and wait a bit more.

But how on earth can I get this desire for kids out of my head?!
I’m focusing on it so much that I’m watching everything: temperature, internet searches,...
I’m already taking folic acid anyway, not vitamins yet. Maybe it’s indeed not a bad idea to start taking those too.

    Thanks for the replies! :-)

    Love,

    Daisy.

P.S. If the discharge continues, and it's usually quite heavy, I'll definitely test again!

    Hey Daisy,

I totally relate to your story. I also wanted to become a mom so badly. It only happened when I finally shifted all my attention to something else. Do you have a hobby or something else you can get completely lost in, so you don't focus so much on the possibility of being pregnant? That helped me twice, and now I have two beautiful sons .

I'm even giving myself this same advice now as we're going for number three .

    Wishing you lots of success.

    Love, Nynke

    hey ladies,
I’m here with a really weird question.
I just went to the bathroom and while wiping, I noticed some white mucus discharge.
A little later, I got an intense cramp (I think it’s in my uterus).
What could that be? I ovulated yesterday.
    Love, Valerie
