Baby name Lode

Hi!

We want to name our daughter Lode and use Mae as a middle name, but we found out that Lode is a boy's name.

Do you think Lode could work for a girl too?

    I think of Lode as the short form of Lodewijk, so I really see it as a boy's name.

    I think Lode could also work for girls. I think Lodé is a nice option too.

    I was thinking of Lodewijk and Loden Leeuw. Not that one, then. Lodee is indeed a good option!

    Now that I've had a chance to think about it, I think Lode sounds nicer! Other options might be Lone and Lore, but I really like Lode more now! Maybe it's just a matter of getting used to it.

    Here too, there's indeed the association with Lodewijk. I do find Lodé quite nice.
