How pronounced?

Hi everyone,

I’ve got a random question because I see certain names come up regularly, and I’m wondering how they’re pronounced.

For example, I recently saw a sign in someone’s garden with the name Novan. How would you pronounce that? In Dutch or English style? I have the same question about these names:

Imay
Lune
Julan
Elai

How would you pronounce these names?

I thought the same about the other names, but with Imay I had Aj-mee in my head because of Ivy - Aj-vie. And since May is English, the I should also have an English pronunciation. I was wondering if there are people who would pronounce Noo-vun like that instead of Noo-van? I think the pronunciation Noo-van is nicer, by the way.

    Nolan - Noolan
    Imay - Ie-mee
    Lune - Luu-nuh or Loe-nuh
    Julan - Juu-lan or Joe-lan
    Elai - Ee-lai

I've found another name whose pronunciation I'm not sure about.
How do you pronounce the name Joah/Joa?

    dzjoo-a
    (with the stress on 'jo'

    Just like Joo-a

Hmm, Joah/Joa with the pronunciation "Dzjoowa" I find quite nice, but just as "Joowa" it makes me think of the word "Ja" in the dialect.

A cousin of mine is named Djoa, and I'd pronounce it like you like it: Dzjooaa. More like Joo-aa than Joah.
