Hi!
I just did a Kruidvat 2v5 test. After 3 minutes, there was a faint line visible. I took 3 photos of it: one after 3 minutes, one after 5 minutes, and one after half an hour. But the line looks a bit weird, so I'm not sure if it's positive or not... You could see a line after 3 minutes, but it became clearer and clearer afterwards.. Could you guys take a look and tell me what you think?

Love,

This one is super positive!!!! Congratulations!

Do you think so? There are also weird horizontal lines too, is that normal then?
  3. sharishvr #4

That's just positive! It's just a little bit of urine that accidentally got in there. But the line is very clear. I would make an appointment with your GP to get a blood test.

    Positive! Congratulations!

The line on that test had disappeared after 2 hours I don't get it at all. So I took another test, which was blank, and just now another one was blank too. Probably nothing, then. Still no period either.

    That's quite a weird story.

Oh my, just looked at the test again, there's a faint line again, but yeah, that's after 10 minutes. I really don't understand anything anymore. Never experienced this before.

After about 15 minutes, it looks like this now:
(Don't mind the dirty floor, we're renovating)

Your hCG level is really low. I had that too with my miscarriage. I don't want to scare you, but if it's dropping, that's not a good sign. My test also turned positive after about 10 minutes. I had my blood drawn, and my hCG level was 23. Doctors see this as a positive pregnancy but with a risk of miscarriage, while gynecologists see it as negative. A day later, I indeed lost the baby due to a miscarriage.

One good piece of advice I can give you: wait another week. If you get bleeding, you're negative. If after a week you still don't have bleeding, take another pregnancy test.

    Good luck!

The line also got lighter after a few hours, forgot to mention that!
And girl, how are you doing now??
  11. Lizzie started this #12

Sorry, was busy with renovations again. A bit confused, but yeah, I'll just wait and see. I don't know exactly when I'm supposed to get my period either. My cycles haven't always been the same length up until now. I'll stop testing for now, otherwise I think I'll go crazy

You said you had a miscarriage. But it looks like you're pregnant again now? Is everything going well with the pregnancy?
  12. sharishvr #13

Yes, I got pregnant right after my miscarriage; I didn’t think that was possible. Everything’s been going well so far. I’m getting medication to prevent another miscarriage. Best wishes

@sharishvr what medications do you get? I've never had a gynecologist tell me that you can get medication to prevent a miscarriage.
  14. sharishvr #15

@tegengaan doesn't do that, it just reduces the chance. And honestly? I'd never heard of it before and didn't even know this existed. I'll see what Seven calls it.

Just a positive test, careful congratulations girl. Are you still waiting for your NOD?
Test again in 2 or 3 days, then I hope it's darker.
You don't want to say anything yet whether it's a miscarriage or not.
  16. Anonymous Guest #17

Don't let the miscarriage stories scare you.

You don't know exactly where you are in your cycle. You are definitely producing hcg. My tests stayed white when there was no hcg. Even after minutes, hours, and days.

You're probably on the early side. In 2 days, the tests should be clearer.

@sharis, you're from Belgium, right? They do things very differently there compared to the Netherlands.

Not everyone produces the same amount of hCG, so it’s possible that you’ll only get a clear positive test after your due date. This has nothing to do with a miscarriage or anything like that. So far, congratulations! And I’d just keep testing...

Shari, I’m sorry, but after 4 years here in Belgium, I’ve never heard this theory before. Not meant offensively, and every doctor has their own way of working... But here, these medications like Utrogestan are mainly used for IVF, ICSI, and people with recurrent miscarriages in fertility treatments. But again, every doctor has their own approach and opinion on this.

And if it helps you carry a healthy baby, then it’s a good solution for you

They gave me this to reduce the risk of recurrent miscarriages. My mother-in-law is a GP, and my gynecologist is definitely not lying to me. This is also prescribed to women who have had multiple miscarriages to lower the risk.
Utrogestan may be prescribed to prevent recurrent miscarriage or in cases of repeated contractions that could lead to preterm labor, as recommended by the doctor.

I also don't think this is a miscarriage, okay? Nature is natural, if it's meant to happen, it will happen. And thank you, I hope the same for you, girl!!
