Mirena coil removed, still not on my period

Hi everyone,
On April 2nd, I had my Mirena IUD removed because we want to have kids. This was my second Mirena IUD over 9 years. The first one was removed after 5 years, and right away, the second one was inserted, and this one was taken out after 4 years. Over those 9 years, I never had a period, not even a little bit, which I found really chill at the time.
Now I'm a bit worried. It's been 4 weeks, and I still haven't had my period. I've read a lot of conflicting stories about when you can expect your period. On top of that, I'm experiencing a lot of vague symptoms like stabbing pains near my ovaries, nausea, sore breasts, feeling emotional, moody, not recognizing myself, etc.
Just to be safe, I took a test because we've had some sex, but the test was negative. Did I test too early? How do you know when to test at all if you don't get your period and therefore don't know what your cycle is?
Do you recognize these vague symptoms? Or are they just withdrawal symptoms as my body adjusts after 9 years?
I'm hoping for a period soon so I know where I stand.
Love, Stephanie

Yes, you could be pregnant and tested too early, but your body needs time to adjust. It's different now that the Mirena is out. I got my first period after 6-7 weeks, just give it some time.

Don't worry about it. Did your GP say how long it takes for your period to return? I switched to trying to conceive right away after my IUD was removed, so I never even got a period.

It can indeed take a while, four weeks feels pretty fast!
Lijn, you mean contraception, I assume? Now you've really switched to conception, haha!

    Haha yes, contraception indeed!
