Desire for a baby after the contraceptive pill

Good day.

I'm 21 years old and have a daughter born in 2017. After giving birth, I started on the Depo-Provera shot. I was losing blood every month, and it turned out I had restless cells and HPV. In September, I was supposed to get another shot but didn't because I was tired of the bleeding. Sometimes the bleeding was so heavy it felt like it wouldn't stop, and they couldn't explain it.

So, I stopped the Depo shot in September 2019. I've had a desire for a child since then, and now I'm finally starting to bleed a bit, so I think my period is finally coming back... Am I fertile again now and can I start trying to get pregnant, or is everything still messed up? I've always had unprotected sex since stopping the shot and really want a second child!

I'm also quite overweight, which from what I've read might also be working against me unfortunately...

Does anyone have tips or information? This is the first time I've used the Depo shot.
