Wheat germ oil?

Hello ladies. I'd love to hear your experiences with using wheat germ oil. After my second miscarriage in December, it seems like my cycle has become shorter than before. From day 20 onwards, I often have pink discharge until my period (day 28). I'm starting this course with wheat germ oil from A. Vogel. Do you take it throughout the whole cycle? 2 per day? Or 1 per day and after ovulation, 2 per day? Greetings, Els

    Hi Els,
So sorry about your miscarriages sending lots of strength your way.
My experience: I had a miscarriage on September 17, 2018. After that, my cycle was off. Three cycles later, I had ovulation, mid-cycle bleeding, etc. On the 4th cycle, I used evening primrose oil before ovulation. From ovulation onwards, I used wheat germ oil. That cycle, my ovulation came nicely on time, no bleeding, and the result is now sitting on my lap with a bottle. I gradually tapered off the wheat germ oil during the first few weeks of pregnancy. Maybe it was coincidence, maybe not. We’ll never know, but I personally believe it helped me. You can always try it. I took evening primrose oil twice a day the first week, I think, and once a day the second week. From ovulation onwards, I used wheat germ oil, varying my dosage. At first, I followed the recommended schedule, sometimes skipping a day and taking just one. Wishing you lots of strength, and I hope luck comes your way soon.

Thanks Ann for your reply!!! Is evening primrose oil for? I'm not irregular so maybe I shouldn't take it? I feel like the implantation moment goes wrong, that's why I want to try wheat germ oil.

I did use evening primrose oil, hoping my cycle would return to a normal 4 weeks, which it did. So for you, it might not be necessary, hopefully the wheat germ oil will be enough

I'm going to start with that. Just taking wheat germ oil every day because my body needs to absorb it too. It's full of vitamins, so if it doesn't help, it won't hurt
I often hear negative reactions about evening primrose oil messing up the cycle or making it longer... so I'll stay away from that.

That's true. In my case, my cycle was already messed up, so I thought, what's the worst that could happen, haha. It actually had a positive effect in the end, but if you have a regular 28-day cycle, I'd recommend doing it. Wheat germ has the downside that it might thicken the uterine lining, I think. Do they advise starting only around ovulation? That's what I thought, anyway.

I'd still like to try it from the start of the cycle. It says 2 per day: I'll start with 1/day now and switch to 2/day on day 14... I think it's worth a try nothing to lose

I tried it after an earlier miscarriage, under the guise of "it can't hurt"... I already had a nice regular cycle, which didn't change because of it either. But after 4 months I stopped. Didn't really feel like it added any value to me. Got pregnant again afterwards anyway. And this time it's going well so far.

Thanks, Ilona, for sharing this. It's vitamin E, so it won't hurt you, and it might just help! Congratulations in advance on your pregnancy!!

Yeah, that's why. I thought so too Hopefully it works out
    Thank you
