We live abroad for a large part of the year. What do you think looks nicer: Blanche, Blake, or Blair(e)?

Blake for a boy, Blanche feels more like a girl's name to me, but someone in my circle has that name, so I automatically associate it with a girl. Blaire doesn't really appeal to me.

I don't know if it's a boy or a girl? The names aren't really my taste, but if I had to choose, I'd go with Blake for a boy and Blanche for a girl. Blair sounds a bit like "bleren" in the plural, like whining, you know. Sorry, but that's what I thought right away.

What do you think of Blakely?
Otherwise, I like Blair the best. I find Blanche a bit too unusual.

I also associate Blanche with a girl.
Blake and Blair: I'd choose Blair.

    Nice! My two cents:

Blake and Blair are very trendy/unisex (do you mind if people keep asking whether it's a boy or a girl? Something to think about). The names remind me of the teen series Gossip Girl from ten years ago, where the main characters were called that And in Dutch they sound phonetically like "Bleek" and "Blèr", so a bit less elegant.

Personally, I'd go for Blanche. In my opinion, it's a very stylish, elegant, and classic name with no ambiguity, and it's actually quite original

    Good luck with it!
