Baby wish postponed due to corona

Hi ladies,

We’ve been looking forward to starting our journey with our first baby for months now

Normally, my IUD was supposed to come out next month, but unfortunately, I got a call saying that due to corona, non-urgent appointments aren’t going ahead, so mine got cancelled

Obviously, this is the best decision in these times, but we’re still pretty disappointed! Especially since they couldn’t even tell me when I’ll be able to come in..

Any other ladies in the same situation?

In our NOD group, I think Kim is in the same situation.

Would the hospital remove your IUD or your GP? Because GPs also take out IUDs. Mine did, a few years ago. ;-) You might want to try that again. I can understand how annoying it is when you've been looking forward to it for months.

My advice is to try that again. Otherwise, it's indeed very frustrating, but you'll just have to deal with the situation for now. We were also put on the waiting list at the hospital to start the fertility treatment. This will most likely not happen until early May. Fortunately, I completely understand, since the corona patients come first. Hopefully, the virus will be gone soon so we can get back to normal life.

    Oh what a bummer, orchidea
For me, it's not an option through the GP because I have a very special medical history, which makes this a high-risk pregnancy. I wasn't allowed to start without first seeing my gynecologist, so that she could remove my IUD..
There's nothing else to do but wait there are obviously much worse things than that..

Oh, that's really tough... I wish you lots of strength while you wait. It's absolutely awful. Hopefully, your waiting will be rewarded soon.
