Age difference

Good morning,
Our daughter has turned four, the oldest and youngest. I always wanted more children, but now that the age gap is getting bigger, I’m not sure anymore. The reason it hasn’t worked out to have a second child is a combination (has been) of an irregular cycle, broken nights, fatigue, and elevated prolactin (hormone). All these factors have improved, except that the desire for sex now feels like a chore. Does anyone have experience with a large age gap?

Our kids will only be 2 years apart, but I know so many people whose kids have bigger age gaps. I think both ways have their advantages.

I myself am more than 4 years older than my sister and 7 years older than my brother, and it always went perfectly. Especially with my brother, I was basically "two hands on one belly" (meaning we were very close)! He was always there for me, taking care of me as a kid, and as a teenager driving me to parties...

I also know people in our immediate circle whose kids are 4 or 5 years apart. At first, that seems really easy because the oldest is already quite independent and really understands what it means to have a sibling.

So what I mainly want to say: if the age gap is your only doubt, I'd definitely go for it!!!
