Doortje, Abeltje, Fietje, or Luusje

Hi there,
What do you think...?

Doortje -> Doreth
Abeltje -> Mabel or Rosabel
Fietje -> Fiene
Luusje -> Luce

Are the first names part of the doping?
Then the name for the pain becomes her nickname.

    Doortje, but I think Doris is even nicer.

    I think Fiene is nice, but wouldn't it make it even cuter to use Fietje as a nickname since it's already short? Luce is short too, by the way.
    Also, I feel like Fietje is just a different name altogether, not a diminutive like Doortje from Doreth (or Doris).

    I don't like the "-tje" suffix after a name. My friend changed her name because she had ....-tje after it. It's cute when they're little, but not so much as a teenager or adult. So I'd rather reverse it. For example, Mabel as a nickname and Abeltje as a baptismal name. But I prefer Abel, Door, or Fiet. That way, you can add -tje as a term of endearment when they're little.

    Betty, I completely agree with you. I really don't like the "tje" suffix at all. Indeed, it's not cool as a teenager or as an adult.
    And those names, I don't think they're that bad, everyone has their own taste .
    Good luck with choosing!

    I really like Doortje! The rest not so much. As for baptismal names, I think Mabel, Fiene, and Luce are really nice!

    I also don't like -tje names at all. Everyone's got their own preferences, of course.

    Honestly, I think the names you mentioned as baptismal names are a bit nicer.
    I think Fiene is the cutest name. And then Luce.

    But all those other names with -tje after them, I don't find any of them nice, honestly. Sorry, everyone's got their own preferences, but I'm just giving an honest opinion.
    Good luck with choosing!
