Feeding
Hungry baby
Hi everyone,
My 2-month-old son is an incredibly hungry baby. He’s on bottle feeding, and I was just giving him the standard 1 from Jumbo. He’s already nearly 6 kilos, so according to the guidelines, he should be getting 180cc of formula. Since he was asking for the next bottle faster and faster, we decided with the pediatrician’s office to switch him to Forté, formula specifically for hungry babies. They said he should feel fuller for longer on this. But my son doesn’t seem to; if anything, he’s asking for bottles even sooner now! When he’s hungry, he screams his head off—it’s literally painful to your ears, and I sometimes get serious headaches from it. Of course, I don’t want him to suffer from hunger, so I sometimes give him a bottle earlier than scheduled.
Unfortunately, he’s only 2 months old, so adding extra veggies or fruit snacks isn’t an option yet, and I’m not allowed to mix rice flour into his milk either.
Are there any mamas with equally hungry babies? How do you handle it?
