1.5 weeks after period, positive ovulation test

Hi everyone,
I haven't been on the pill for a long time now and always have a regular 30-day cycle. On February 2nd, I got my period and it lasted 5 days. Normally, I ovulate on day 16 of my cycle.
On Tuesday, I suddenly got a lot of discharge, and today I've had pink/brown discharge all day. I found this strange, so I took an ovulation test today and it was immediately super positive.
Has anyone experienced this before? So early ovulation and a positive ovulation test combined with pink discharge? It's weird if I've already ovulated because I've been ovulating exactly on day 16 for 7 months now.

Was your period the same as usual or lighter? You could take a pregnancy test just to be sure..

Thanks for your reply! I normally get my period. It felt more like a lot, rather than less than usual. Yeah, I'll do that just to be safe.

I took a Clearblue pregnancy test this afternoon and it was positive, showing 1-2 weeks pregnant. It's really special because I had a completely normal period, lasting 5 days. I spoke with the midwife and can come in for a visit in 2 weeks. I've got lower back pain and some stomach pain, plus I'm still having pink discharge.. Hopefully it's not a miscarriage.

Ah yes, I already had a suspicion that it might be a pregnancy. But that bleeding is indeed quite strange, though it can still turn out okay! But it's also possible that something went wrong with the bleeding and the pregnancy hormone is still in your body. I really hope you're just pregnant!

What you could do is buy a few pregnancy test strips (like the ones from Action, for example, they're not so expensive) and then test every morning or every other day. That way you'll see if the line gets lighter or darker.

The bleeding got worse and worse, so I contacted the midwife and was allowed to come in. They did an ultrasound. First externally, and then she indeed saw something there and it looked positive, but when she checked internally, it turned out to be smaller than she had expected. Now, today the bleeding has stopped, and in 5 days I'll have to test if it's still positive. I'm still expecting a miscarriage...
