Hi everyone.
We're expecting our first baby in September '20, and we've already decided on a girl's name.. but we're still unsure about the boy's name. We have 3 options but can't decide.
I'm curious which name you'd choose? (They're 3 very different names with different origins! I'll mention those here)
Option 1: Deavy (Dutch name, meaning: The beloved)
Option 2: Kenzo (Japanese name, meaning: Wise)
Option 3: Vito (Italian name, meaning: Life)

Wow, you all know the girl's name so quickly! The names aren't really my taste (which is fine, of course), but I think Vito is the most beautiful. It's a unique, strong name that doesn't come across as too made-up. Kenzo is the most 'normal' one, and it reminds me of Kenzo Kazan (son of Hans Kazan), don't ask me why. I'd personally spell Daevy as Davy/Davey, because I think that makes more sense. Otherwise, I'm not such a fan of the name.

I'm all for VITO. Although I don't think Kenzo is bad either. I think the first name is BAH.

Vito is a Mercedes van. Then I'd go for Mercedes!

Since we have a Mercedes Vito at home... I got some weird looks when I saw Vito on the list. It really reminds me of a van instead of a name.
Kenzo makes me think more of a lottery game too (keno, Belgium) but also of a well-known perfume brand.
For Deavy I would rather go for Davy as the spelling..

So the first one is the best option for me.
For the other two I would never choose. I would never name my child after a brand/product.

    Thank you so much, ladies!
It's funny that I really see different opinions haha

None of them are really my taste, but I'd go for Kenzo. It was the only name that didn't bring up any other associations for me. And it sounds cool!

Vito makes me think of an old Italian man sitting at the dining table with his big family, so yes, the meaning "life." And also the Mercedes car.

Deavy isn't my kind of name, and I definitely don't like this spelling. It falls into the category for me: 'my parents wanted a slightly more well-known name but still tweaked the spelling a bit to make it unique.' As a result, you'll have to spell your name your whole life. I think this would be less of an issue with Kenzo and Vito. With Kenzo, they'd only misspell it with an s if they didn't know how to write it.

Vito appeals to me, but I wouldn't choose it myself. Deavy is more my style, but I'd go with Davey! I don't think Kenzo is that beautiful

Do you pronounce Deavy as Davy? Or as Dievie, you know? (Never heard of it, but that seems right with this spelling?)
I think Vito sounds quite cheerful

We just pronounce it as Davy

Then you'd go with the spelling Davy or Davey if you want that pronunciation.

    All three aren't my choice..
    Tastes differ!
    Enjoy your pregnancy

Vito. The rest is pretty lame.
