Ovulation after months of silence?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and decided to join this forum because I'm at a loss :-(

I'll tell my story (I'll try to keep it short and clear :-)):

- In November 2019, during my annual check-up with the gynecologist, I was told I had a cyst on my left ovary. I had to start taking the mini-pill Cerazette.
- On December 20, 2019, I had a follow-up appointment and the cyst had completely disappeared, thankfully! I had already stopped taking the mini-pill a week prior, so I wasn't taking anything at that point. During this check-up, I also had some light bleeding, and the gynecologist said my period was probably coming. Once it started, I was supposed to have blood drawn to better determine my cycle.
- On January 13, 2020, I still hadn't gotten my period. I contacted the gynecologist again, and she told me to have blood drawn on January 17, 2020 (my birthday), because she thought something might be off with my hormones. So, on Friday afternoon, January 17, I went to have blood drawn.

That evening, I was having sex with my boyfriend, and suddenly I got severe pain in my lower abdomen on the right side. It was a very sharp stab, I screamed in pain, and tears ran down my cheeks.

The pain went away after a few minutes. On Saturday and Sunday, I still had a dull 'pain' feeling down there on the right side where the pain was so intense on Friday. So, I had this kind of pulling sensation there all weekend. Also, when I coughed or sat down too quickly, I got sharp stabs.

On Sunday evening, I was completely upset. I cried for hours for no reason, felt dizzy, nauseous, couldn't see properly, was very restless/anxious, could barely sleep, etc.

- Today, Monday, January 20, I called the gynecologist for the blood results. Everything was perfectly fine, to everyone's surprise. She told me that my hormones were very high on Friday afternoon, meaning ovulation was about to happen!

I immediately went to the pharmacy and bought an ovulation test. It was negative.

I still feel a dull sensation in my stomach and have lower back pain.

Did I ovulate on Friday (or at least this weekend)?

What do you all think about this?

I have so many questions and am still very worried. We want to try for a baby after I had an early miscarriage in 2018.

All thoughts/experiences are welcome!

Lots of love
