We're looking for an Italian girl's name that goes well with Ella. We're thinking of Elena or Alessia.

Is Ella the older sister or the first name you're looking for a second name for?
I think Ella Elena is quite nice, but Ella and little sister Elena feels a bit too similar to me.
I'd rather go with Ella and Zita.

    I agree with Debbie.
If you're looking for a second name to go with Ella, I think Elena is the most beautiful. Ella Elena.
If you're looking for a name for Ella's little sister, I'd go for a shorter name. Zita or Mona.

I agree, Elena is a beautiful second name for Ella. As Ella's sister, the name gets a bit of a "Jut and Jul" vibe. I have to say that when I hear the name Elena, I immediately think of Russia.

I'd go for Ella and Chiara. I think this is a super beautiful name. Or else Ella and Zita. But I find Zita sounds so harsh. Chiara sounds a bit sweeter, like Ella.
When I hear the name Mona, I immediately think of the "toetjes" (little toes). So I wouldn't go for that.

Elena, I think it's the most beautiful from your list—beautiful, feminine, elegant. And I also think Mona is nice; the rest doesn't do much for me.

I’d go for Chiara! Such a lovely, original name!

By the way, I also think Alessia is quite nice!

I don’t think Elena looks so good with Ella. Too much of the same.
I don’t find Zita so appealing, and with Mona I immediately think of desserts, so I wouldn’t go with that.

Here for Chiara too! With Alessia as second best.
Mona, indeed, also had the "toetjes" thought.

    Chiara!

Here are some other nice Italian names I like with Ella:
Sienna, Gioia, Giulia, Sofia, Mirella, Luisa, Giana, Zola, Milena, Camilla, Cira, Liona.
My absolute favorite: Gioia. Ella and Gioia!
