Ovulation test

Hi everyone,
I’ve just started using ovulation tests for the first time.
Is the second test now positive from the top, or should it be thicker and darker?
Greetings!

    No worries, it looks positive, but it seems like the photo was taken after a while, is that right? The most reliable way is to read the ovulation test after 3 to 8 minutes, it varies, the time I mentioned now is from the Action brand, with another test it could be different, so read the instructions carefully. I think this one looks positive if it was read within 3-8 minutes and the photo was taken within that time frame. Good luck with trying to conceive, and hopefully in two weeks you'll have a nice positive test.

    The rest of the tests are negative, by the way.

    They all look positive! The thickness of the line doesn't matter; it's about seeing 2 lines, and I think that's the case for all of them!

    Denise Kerber, an ovulation test is only positive if the test line is as dark as the control line, or even darker. You always have LH in your body, so a line lighter than the control line is negative... so it's not true that all tests are positive, far from it.

    Not meant offensively, by the way, but it's useful to know and maybe check the instruction manual and the internet... because you'll definitely miss your ovulation if you assume that seeing any line means it's positive. Again, well meant.

    @orchidea
    That's right, the photo was taken only on Sunday.
    The photos are from Wednesday through Sunday.
    On Monday, the line was barely visible. So I have to assume that Thursday was the peak. That means my ovulation was on Friday or Saturday, or am I saying that wrong?

    Oh, that's true, except there are also girls whose follicle already ruptures with a positive test. So somewhere between Thursday and Saturday. Still, you should stick with Friday as your ovulation day, but keep in mind that Thursday is also a fertile day when planning activities.

    Exactly what Betty says, it can't be clearer!

    Super! Thanks for your answers.
    I've been busy since Friday night (my boyfriend is only home on weekends).
    Hopefully not too late.

    Good luck during the waiting weeks. It takes some patience, but you're doing great. Please let us know if there's any news.
