Pip or Siv

Hey hey!

I'm currently expecting our first child (a girl), but we're having trouble choosing between the names Pip and Siv. What do you think of these names, and which one would you pick?

    Pip! I don't think Siv is that pretty. Sev is better then.

    For a girl, I personally don't like Siv as much; Pip sounds better to me, although Pip isn't a name I'd choose for my own daughter. I have a different taste when it comes to names. But for someone else, I think Pip is fine—nice, short, and snappy. And one advantage is that it can't be abbreviated

    I agree with the above: I don’t like Siv that much, it feels unfinished to me. Pip I really like, and Sev too.

    I don't find either of them very beautiful, but if I had to choose, I'd go for Pip!

    I don't find either of them beautiful either.
    I think Pip is the nicest of the two, but it reminds me of Woezel and Pip. Plus, my aunt has a little dog named Pip.

    I like Pip! Honestly, I’ve never heard of Siv, and it’s not really my taste either. But definitely go with what you both think looks nice—it’s your daughter after all

    Indeed, I've never heard of Siv either; I don't find Siv beautiful. I'd go for Pip instead, although that's not really my taste either. It does make me think of Woezel and Pip or all the dogs named Pip.

    Funny, I always liked Siv too (Norwegian name), but I’m not going to go with it anyway. But I do think Siv sounds better than Pip. Pop does sound cute and sweet, though, for a dog.

    Now that I’ve read more about Siv, I’m liking it more and more. Here are some other options:
