My daughter has trouble burping after her bottle. Does anyone have a tip to help her burp faster?

How old is your little girl? From the photo, I'd say she's very young. Are you breastfeeding?

You should let your baby burp while she's latched on to you, and then gently pat her lower back. Not like most people think, on the upper back.

Sometimes it can just take a while for a baby to burp. Sometimes up to 15 minutes.

You could also try using a different bottle or a smaller teat to reduce the amount of air going in. If you're breastfeeding, you can also ask for advice from a consultant (you can often get in touch with one through your insurance). Maybe your technique just isn't quite right yet.

    Love, Evelien

It can indeed take a while..
In the daycare we had, there was 1 of the very little ones who really was carried around in a baby carrier on your belly for 15 minutes straight.

But what worked even better was to take the baby under the arms, so with 1 arm completely around them and let them hang!!
So really let the legs dangle!!
(Just make sure you don't press them too hard against you, as loosely as possible with their face away from you..)
The stomach and belly expand well this way and the air comes up faster!

    Really try it!! Good luck!!

My postpartum care nurse told me again that babies don't always have to poop. If it's been a long time and they don't seem to be bothered by it, they might just not need to go.
If you want to help them poop, it's best to start at the bottom of their back with gentle pats and keep patting further up (towards the shoulders).

My little boy is 7 weeks old now, and he doesn’t always burp right from the start, but it’s getting better. Sometimes he really struggles with it. What I always do is hold him upright for a little while and not put him back in the crib too quickly. That’s my advice.

My baby didn't always have to fart either. As long as he felt good. Sometimes it just doesn't come out, or the baby really isn't bothered by the gas. If it's not going well or he's getting upset, then call the GP or the baby clinic. Otherwise, just let him be.
