Pregnant or not

Hi! I usually take my pill for 3 months straight, but this time I only took it for 1 month and suddenly I didn't get my period. I'm now about 5 days late. The only thing I feel is some mild cramps and, of course, that my period is late. Is that normal or could it be a sign of pregnancy? I've been taking my pill normally, but I've heard from people that you can still suddenly get pregnant even then.
