What do you think of the name Philou? Is it also nice for an adult woman?

    Nice! Though it's quite a modern name, it's fine for an adult woman.

    I'm also doubting the name myself, so that doesn't help you much, but I didn't know it was a trendy name. Does it come up a lot at schools now?

    Names with Lou in them seem to be a trend in 2020 indeed... but still, Philou isn't in the top 20 and it's not a very common name. Butterfly, what's your hesitation about it?

    I need to get used to this name a bit.
    But overall, it's beautiful—it comes across as elegant and dignified to me.

    Are you from the Netherlands or Belgium? Because in some regions of Belgium, we say 'tis ne filou ze' maw, which means a mischievous but loving child.

    Dutch! Philou is indeed a French word.
    But in the Netherlands, we only know Philou as a name

    My doubt is whether I think it sounds nice enough. The last time I had to pick a name for a baby, it felt like it had to be perfect (I know I'm making it harder for myself).
    When I'm not pregnant, I really want to pick another name, but when the time comes, I find it so difficult haha.

    Anonymous, are you only doubting whether the name will still be nice later on?

    @Vlinder

    So relatable, I feel exactly the same way haha! When it comes down to it, it's really tough.
    We're also wondering if it's fun enough/does it sound right. I think it's probably not the name for us.

    How is the name pronounced?
    Pfieloe is what I came up with. I don't know the name. I love unique names, but not this one.

    You pronounce it as Filou.

    I think it's a super cute name. Also for adults, trendy but still fine if you have to apply for jobs later.
