Ovulation tests action

Hi ladies!
I'm new here...
27 years old, stopped the pill on September 2nd after about 12 years, we're now trying for our first baby.
My first cycle took 43 days, now I'm on cycle 2, day 26.
Since I have no idea when my ovulation will be (longer cycle), I've been using ovulation tests from Action but I'm not sure what to make of them.
I know the test line should be as thick and dark as the control line, so I suspect nothing has happened yet.


I'm very patient, I know it doesn't always work the first time or even the 2nd, 3rd,...
I just want to get to know my cycle.
In the first cycle, I had a lot of egg-white-like mucus at a certain point, but I haven't had that this time.

What do you think?

    Hi Emily,
    Even though the test line is sometimes a bit darker, I’m afraid you don’t have a positive ovulation test yet. I also use the ovulation tests from Action, and mine gets really dark during the peak. The days after, it fades again. I always seem to have a faint line though.
    Have you had a positive test in the meantime? It’s annoying that your cycle is so long, hopefully it’ll become more regular each cycle! Good luck!
